I'm remembering last year when I shared a photo with you of Avery surrounded by gawking children. I worried a bit about our kids. Worried about their little hearts being molded by too many moments of being outsiders instead of being shaped by the wonders of living cross culturally. But then, I am caught by delight when I realize, in small moments like these when they don't even know I'm watching, that they are simply beautiful and we are going to be more than fine. Rich, even, from all that South Africa is.
