The banana baskets

after such a long post yesterday, I'm going to give you a short one today - pictures to enjoy from our week in Rwanda.

This is a project we visited in a rural church where women make baskets out of banana tree fiber. Some ladies work at home and bring in their finished bags, many come to the small vocational training building attached to the church to sit and work together, chatting and enjoying the day as they braid, sew, assemble these beautiful and very strong bags.
