Okay, this is seriously not the best picture ever... but it makes me laugh and that has to count for something.
We play cards at our house - it is an equalizing game that everyone can join in on no matter how comprehensive your language skills, how vast your experience, how timid you are about hanging out with a white American family once you actually walk through the doors. Uno is our "put your toe in the water" game -it's one anyone can play & takes very little explanation- but SkipBo and Five Crowns - those are the ever popular favorites. I totally trashed Everest and Billy yesterday. Well, that's not entirely true. I didn't even come close to winning. But it's fun to talk big.
